Parliamentary oversight key to ensuring development - Mayor Dele Oshinowo

* Lauds Lagos State House Committee on Works and Infrastructure
* Assures on timely completion of ongoing state roads in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA

Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA has described effective oversight as an agent of change that will ensure accelerated service delivery for the progress of mankind.

He made this know yesterday while accompanying honourable members of the Lagos State House Committee on Works and Infrastructure to monitor ongoing state roads in the LCDA; Construction of Agidi-Demurin Road and Church Street, Alapere.

While speaking to the press,the chairman commended the Lagos State House of Assembly for embarking on a thorough oversight function, stressing that he was impressed with the quality of interface with the contractors and residents.

He further assured residents of the LCDA that the lawmakers' visit is a key indication that ongoing state roads would be delivered soonest.

"To build democracy, there is a need for checks and balances, and that is why I am delighted to see the quick monitoring response of the Lagos State lawmakers to ensure thorough oversight"

"With this development, there is a need to reassure our people that the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu is working round the clock to transform our beloved state"
