Agboyi-Ketu Fixes 1.1 Km State Road, Rehabilitation of Agboyi Road signals our strong partnership with Lagos State Government - Mayor Dele Oshinowo

Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area has continued asphalt paving operation on the entire stretch of 1.1km Agboyi Road, Alapere. The aggressive rehabilitation on the road started early last month with repair of drains and compactment of hardcore and crushed stones to solidify failed portions of the road. While inspecting the asphalt paving operation on the road, the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo noted that the road project goes beyond the working mandate of the local government as a result of its length being beyond one kilometre. He further reiterated his administration's resolve to continue partnering with Lagos State Government, Private Organization and international agencies to bolster the economy of the LCDA. He further reassured that the LCDA is working round the clock to also fix major dilapidated roads in the Owode-Ajegunle Area of the LCDA, particularly Irawo Road and Ondo Street. Mayor Dele further added that construction works on roads in the year 2024 would be strongly tilted towards Owode-Ajegunle axis. "In Agboyi-Ketu LCDA , the larger part of our population don't know who is in charge of fixing certain roads, they have a general perception that all roads must be fixed by the local government due to its closeness to them" "Thus, there is a need for our administration to think outside the box and look for alternative ideas to alleviate the concerns of our motoring community, this new thinking approach is what we have executed to fix Agboyi Road by going beyond our boundaries to put smiles on the faces of our motoring community" " When we are done with Agboyi Road, we will direct our focus towards Owode-Ajegunle to ensure two major roads in the axis, I.e Ondo Street and Irawo Road are fixed. For those nursing fear, let me reassure that we have adopted a saving model to raise the required capital to fix the roads"
